XL Air Cell - Do these have a chance? - Update

Mine looks like it is coming but as the day goes on it looks weaker and weaker and is barely moving its beak now (which we can see through the hole) it pipped about 8pm last night how long before he/she is in trouble?

were all waiting to hear how you are doing. i thought to myself' , those sure dont look like they are going to drown...very excited that they are so far doing OK..

is your humidity way up? is it warm enough in there? they pip then they rest for a while to absorb yolk and remaining fluids

I would start opening the shell, at 24 hours pipped. Do you know how to do this????

Start where the shell is pipped and break way the shell just like the chick would, zip around the egg. LOOK FOR RED VEINS. Stop if you see any. Try again in a couple hours.

Quick update. I ended up with 14 out of 17 eggs hatching. Once of the ones that didn't hatch stopped developing awhile back from the looks. The other was a chick facing the wrong way in the egg. I have no idea why they hatched early.

I hate losing any and we did not have a good hatch. We got 3 hatched, 1 died, and we lost the 1 that pipped pluse we had a double yoker that must have outgrown their shell and it popped way early even though they were formed so out of the 14 we set we only got 2 that made it.. That was our first time and we used a homemade bator....
