Y on earth????

all the sudden 1 of my hens felt like laying an egg for the past 4 days

BUT 2day she went to the nest sat there for like 15 mins, got off but there was NO egg?????????? What the what??? where is the egg???

Mine do that from time to time. It's like they feel the urge but it's not quite time yet.
You can feel low in her abdomen if you are concerned about her being egg bound, but really I think it's just a matter of adjusting to laying.

It is probably adjusting to laying like Gritsar said. I have a RIR that sits on every nest for hours at a time and no egg.

My roo sits in the nests more than the hens. No egg from him either.

Mine do that alot too. I think mine are actually getting broody. Either that or they love how warm it is in there.
