Two weeks ago I was down to 4 eggs a day from my 30 hen/pullets. I put 60watt light on a timer. At first I had it come on at 4am and off at 8am nothing in the evening. But I don't get home from work till about 5:30, and didn't like going out and waking them up by turning the lights on when I went out to feed and get eggs, so, I also added evening light from 4pm to 6pm and I have a small (7watt?) that I can put on anywhere from 15mn to an hour.

. Over summer I had been selling about 15 doz. a week, now I can tell my customers I have eggs again plus have some for myself.
