The Yankee Fall Classic poultry Show will be held Sunday October 14th, 2012 in the Poultry Building at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY. The Poultry Building is a beautiful old building & I think one of the best poultry show halls in the country.
The Classic is a jointly run show sponsord by all the Poultry Clubs in the state. It's usually a very nice show with lots of high quality birds on display. All the entries aren't in yet but it appears numbers will be up a bit from last year.
There's always a very active "Traders Row" with a lot of good stock available for sale. This is the last show of the year for many NY exhibitors & they are paring down numbers to just what they plan to keep over for breeding so it's a good buying opportunity.
There are often other events at the Fairgrounds as well. The Poultry Building is right next to the Horse Show Arena & there's usually a Horse Show going on that weekend. In the past there have also been Goat Shows & Craft Shows as well so there are a variety of things to see & do.
