YANKEE OR DIXIE

37% Yankee, which surprises me a bit. I've never lived south of New England...

A lot of fun! I scored a 45 - just into the Yankee territory. I'm born and raised north of NYC. Think this may have something to do with rural vs urban. I'm proud to have farmer in my blood.

77% -- Dixie!

I am so glad to see "feeder" was an answer to frontage roads. Signs around Houston say "Frontage Road", but nobody I know calls them that.

I thought the question about drive-thru liquor stores was meant for Lousiana. I haven't seen a beer barn in years.

79% Dixie... pretty interesting quiz. There were a couple I didn't know how to answer, or I could have gone two ways. When I went back, cleared and retook the quiz with those second answers, it gave me 92% Dixie. Sheesh.

Does that mean I'm somehow suppressing my Southern-ness? I AM actually descended from Devil Anse Hatfield... !

71 % Dixie!

I was getting worried because alot of the individual question results for me were coming out as northeast US and/or PA. I must admit to being the Rebel child of two yankees and I did make frequent trips to PA when I owned an auction business with my ex. I'm anxious for my SO to get home and have him take the quiz. He's originally from Arkansas and I'm from NC. He teases me all the time because I say arn (iron) and far (fire) and the best one...tar arn (tire iron). No matter what he says....the thing you drive up to get to the house is a path, not a road (it's unpaved), the place where we put our cars is the driveway, not the carport and my favorite one...the place where the grass is mushed down from walking on it is a hog path.

American by birth, Southern by choice!
