Good enough, I live a few miles away from DC, but I do consider myself a southerner. (Laugh if you want.)
My dad just went down to Louisiana, and they asked him if you was a Southerner, he said yes. He said he was from VA, and his Louisianan friends quietly laughed behind his back.
