Yay 7 to 8 weeks old and 2 eggs

I got my first 2 eggs already! My quail are 7 to 8 weeks old and the 2 eggs were fertile! They had that little bullseye!!!!

How long can i collect them before i have to incubate them? Anyone have any experience with 10 to 14 days collecting then incubating?

Oh grats ! I heard you should let new hens lay for a week or two before collecting for incubation because they sometimes have strange eggs at first so it lets then sort that out for better hatch rates.

I hear collecting for 10 days or less is best and also how you store them and the temperature helps.

Do not set any eggs that don't have a smaller pointier end - it usually means the egg is a double yolker and you don't want that to start developing :O
