Yay... first egg !

I bought 11 quail 8 days ago. I was told they were point of lay... Well they were. I got my first egg today... Cant wait to have enough to incubate.

My Quail are White Japs...

Any tips from those who have done this all before would be great... Although I have incubated Duck and chicken eggs - I dont know if I should do anything different for quail.

My recipe for coturnix incubation is....

99.5 deg.F 45-50 something % humidity for 14 days. Turning about 2 times a day. On day 14 stop turning and bump the humidity level up to 60% to infinity.
Wait for hatch. Usually 17-19 days from set date.

I had heard that they usually take about 18 days. That will be a breeze after 28 days for the ducklings .
