YAY!!!Is it ok to start them outside?!?!

Is it ok to start like 1 week old chicks outside with a heat lamp with temps of 70-80 in day and 55-70 at night???

yup, im gettin some new lil fluff balls! but mom doesnt want all that mess and smell in the house

By outside do you mean in a coop or shed?

Mine are outside in a separate pen with their mother. Our day temps are in the 70's and the night has been in the 50's but it has been extremely cold for us. Tomorrow it is supposed to be in the 80's.

I was concerned the first day but mother hen has done a great job of keep theming warm.
