I'd posted on here a couple of weeks ago. My chickens had been through their molt and then our weather changed. It went from very warm fall days -- almost 80 degrees to daytime highs of 45 degrees or so and rainy, literally overnight. So I had only been getting an egg or two (if I was lucky from this year's hens) for the past 2.5 - 3 months. It was the first hard molt for my 2010 spring hens. I'm glad they had a nice break, but I am sooo excited to be getting six eggs a day (and climbing) now!!!! I should get about 13 or so a day. I have some older ladies, too, but don't count on much from them. My egg customers were faithful and understanding -- thankfully! I was getting/buying eggs from my uncle to supply my egg customers. Yay!!! I'm so happy! I was barely getting enough eggs for our family for awhile there. Just had to share the happy news!
