A new layer started up, she's the daughter from Olive x's Marans, which really darkened the Olive!
Playing with different egg colors has sure been fun! It started with a Splash Silverrud rooster over Splash Marans, creating Splash OE. Those were backbred to Black Copper Marans, which then yielded Blue and Blue Copper Olive Eggers with darker eggs. The Legbar hybrids will be next up, I no longer have the Silverruds to work with.
