Hey..did you see I have finished beading Suede? hehehehe

Cetawin, I did see Suede! Gorgeous!

We are planning on have 8 to 10 cords split and at the ready. Probably won't use it all, but this is our first winter here in NE WA and we want to be prepared.

That is an excellent idea Terrie. You know where I am...Cave Junction, way south...we got tons of snow last winter...started on xmas eve...I almost ran out of wood and I had almost 2 cords here.

Niice! My SO cuts wood on the side during the winter and fall months. They have a wood splitter much like that..

Way to go with the splitter Terrie! We heat predominantly with wood in the winter and I convinced DH that we needed a splitter. Bought ours at the end of the season last year. WOW - what a difference it has made! We're not getting any younger and using an axe/maul/wedge for 6-8 cords each season was wearing on us big time!

Me too! I have tried to split firewood with an axe and mallet (maul?) before, and I am just not strong enough (at least not to split the big logs).

Our neighbors have a kernel burner, but they can put wood pellets in it, too. We have propane, no woodstove. Heating this house this winter is going to be "fun."

Terrie, that woodshed looks great. I love the green metal roof! That will be perfect for the big snow you'll probably get up there, right? Does the log splitter run on gasoline?
