Thanks everyone! BYC is the best- you guys all understand.

I sent out 5 emails to friends and family with the same announcement and photos;
I got 3 replies that said: "OK. And...?"
1 reply said: "So???"
1 reply said: "You have a chicken? When did you get a chicken?"

They just don't get it.

LOL - most non-chicken friends don't typically 'get it' when it comes to things we love about our chickens. Congrats on your first egg!!! I love my RSL's - they lay the largest best eggs, and very consistently too!! I am thinking of adding a couple more of them this year along with a couple bantams(MAYbe), just because of how sweet they are and what great layers they are. Congrats again - Enjoy!!!
