So I am a teacher at a small school and I checked the tracking number on my ducks and they should arrive tomorrow. I asked our principal if I could pick them up at lunch and bring them back to school, instead of them sitting at the post office until the end of the day. He agreed!
I can't wait to show my students (6th graders). Works out nice because I have a science class at the very end of the day. Maybe I can see what names my students come up with?
Only downside is I need to come up with a brooder for the afternoon. I have seen some use a larger storage container, so I have plenty of those. I'll bring the food and water setup as well. And the heat lamp, of course!
I don't think I will let my students handle them, as they will be stressed as it is from being shipped. Plus germs. I think they will enjoy simply looking at them though.
So excited! Fingers crossed they make the trip from California okay!
