i just won a dozen maran eggs on ebay.....i cant wait till they get here and i can get them in the bator.....

. i just need to know what the humidity should be in the bator! ive got the temp staying fairly steady.

days 1-18 keep it between 45%-50% and then raise it to 65%-70% days 19-21. Good Luck I have some hatching now for a friend.

I just won some as well, I wonder if they are from the same place.
The woman I bought from ended up making me a package of a variety of eggs since I wanted a couple of her items.She left the marans up for sale and made a new offering for me.
They should arrive on Tuesday.
I am excited to get mine as well, I also have coming Speckled Sussex,
New Hampshire Reds ,Barred Rocks, Americanas, Buff Orpingtons, Brown Leg Horns,Golden Lakenvelders.
Buff Brahmas coming from somewhere else.
So we have a very busy month coming up here.
I have a woman who owns a farm willing to take any chicks off of my hands in the end if I have too many of one kind ,too many roosters or what have you.
So I figured I would take the chance and see since I have no idea what the hatch rate will be.
We should be hatching around the same time.
