Well after a wild cubano hen hatched some babies and I have a claret sitting on a clutch with also my big blue buff orpington Beauty Queen sitting on eggs....I got the hatch fever too. So I dragged the old Sportsman out of storage and cleaned and disinfected it. Now I am letting it dry and will start getting it running and ready for some eggs. I have tons of eggs coming in right now about 2 dozen a day and way more than we can eat. But also thinking of what else to hatch. Defintely will be doing quail eggs at some point.
Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
