and to lurky and noshoes - i'm fixing to go look at some more silkie hens RIGHT NOW!
i also have two sultan bantam chicks that i'm growing that i bought on impulse at a feed store close to me.
with my luck they will probably both be roos . . .

s n' m poultry is letting me look at his hens today and i'll let ya'll know who i come home with.

(that last sentence looks, somehow, *wrong* but keep it clean peeps - this is a family site!)

for all of you who were concerned that i simply don't have enough chickens for my new coop - you need worry no longer - i picked up four very lovely silkie hens from s n' m poultry today!
they have been bathed and mite-treated and blow-dried and will be ready for their close-ups shortly. i will post pics in the "everything" thread later.

yea - who knew chickens could be so consuming! i'm totally obsessed.
