Yeah! Pips! - - - now they are chicks!

14 eggs in the hatcher, day 21 and 2 pips! Keeping my fingers crossed that these little ones make it out!

Oooh!!! Fingers crossed! I about DIE waiting for pips to zip! I've never had the first pip hatch first either. Weird...anyway, good luck! What are you hatching?

I have 3 frizzle eggs and the rest are EE eggs.

I have 2 chicks, 2 more pips and 10 more to go!

One of the chicks is still attached to the egg thru its umbilical cord, i put him so he was back in the egg so he did not rip it. If it is still attached when i go to remove him what should i do?

Was there any blood near the cord?? If there was no blood I just clip it and put the chick in the brooder

How exciting! We have 3 eggs in a bator. One started pipping yesterday afternoon and this morning it has busted through about half of its shell. I can't wait for it to get out. The other 2 eggs are not doing anything yet. This is nerve racking! We have never hatched our own eggs. I am hoping they all make it.

OKay he separated himself! Now we have 4 chicks, 1 pip and 7 more to go! Come on you 7!
