Yeast infection in my chicken's mouth?

Did the nystatin work? I have the same problem.

so nystatin or tylan? I would almost go with the tylan if it does clear up thrush, i will do a little research- how is your situation gardensgirl?

I ended up getting vetracyn...I sprayed it in her mouth...called the company first and they said that was fine and that it works on yeast. She healed great.

will try that- i have been using acv, and now he is getting a mucousy layer in his mouth...

i don't see alot of change yet- but he is alot perkier than he has been in a long time

if you hadn't mentioned vetrycin i would never have thought of it, and it does say on the label it treats thrush!

Awesome! When I talked to an old timer about veteracyn he told me it is great for everything...wounds , hawk attacks...you can spray it on yourself for poison ivy...they said at the feed store they used to get people coming in with scripts from there doctor to use it...so although it says animals only, people use it too

amazing stuff isn't it? well, still working on clearing his throat, it is way down there, and as it breaks down i scrape it out- and he seems to be eating better too-

Oxine might be useful as well. You have to buy it in a large size, but you can use it for a lot of things.
