Yellow eye crust

Can anyone tell me what this yellow eye crust is??? Eye seems fine, chicken is acting totally normal!!

Looks like an egg eater. That looks like egg yolk.

I don't think it has anything to do with the eye. I'd examine closely for possible parasite, but could be just sloppy eating.

X2. That looks like yolk. If not an egg eater, there may have been a broken egg or a shell-less egg that was laid. Mine will all dive for an egg if I drop one. You might want to pick up eggs more frequently.

I haven't had any missing/cracked or broken eggs. I collect eggs every afternoon. I did feed them carrots the other day... Maybe that???

YES! That's one of the things I mentioned.

You should be able to smell egg if you clean it off. Carrots tend to turn dark when out in the air for awhile, but who knows?
