About a week or so ago, I noticed a few foamy, yellow poops in the chicken run. One of my hens had a single episode of straight watery brown diarrhea. It was hot then (80 and humid), so I assumed it was from the heat and them drinking a lot more water. BUT seeing the foamy, yellow daily in the run since. It's been cold for 3 days now. Today, I witnessed 5 of my 7 birds do it within a few minutes. So that's not normal.

They seem to be fine otherwise - don't seem sick - eating, drinking, and are laying daily.

They have a poop tray under their roost that I clean every morning. All of the nighttime poops seem normal - no blood, yellow, watery, worms, etc.

They have an enclosed run, so they do not free range. Feed is strictly Purina Flock Raiser. They have free choice grit, oyster shell, and crushed baked eggshell. Water is changed daily - plastic, gallon waterers that I clean often - and I give probiotics in the water for one week a month.

Treat or not?

If treat, should I do Corid, Safeguard, or antibiotic? or all three?

We do not have a poultry vet in the area.

*Edited to add: So..I just thought of something else we did different within the last week. We gave them some treats (seed mixture) a few times over the last week or so. They didn't look or smell bad, smelled like normal, but have been in a sealed bucket for a couple months. If they got a bacterial infection from those, what antibiotic would I treat with?

Please post some photos.

Corid dose is 2tsp Liquid Corid per gallon of water.
Safeguard dose is 0.23ml per pound of weight given orally once a day for 5 days.

Foamy poop can be from a number of things. Getting a fecal float is always best so you don't treat needlessly.

Just posted pictures in the comments. The pictures are poops from four different hens that I witnessed over about 5-10 minutes.

I’ve read worms can cause this as well as a bacterial infection of the intestinal tract.

Here are a few pics I snapped of 3 similar looking poops from my chickens today. Im using Tucker Milling feed and its high in corn, first 2 ingredients on labeling. Ive noticed poops like this when I use feeds high in corn. When Ive used Purina I dont recall many of these poops. The 3 pictures attached each came from seperate pens, they were the only foamy ones today, some days I notice more but if you got a new batch of feed and its high in corn then that can be a cause too 👍

Thank you. They do look the same! I’ve heard that about corn too.
I didn't think Purina Flock Raiser was high in corn either, but maybe not so coincidentally I opened a new bag of feed around the same time this started. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I put probiotics in their water today, but didn’t give them any treats or meds.
