Yellow goop from pip and dead chicks

I had some eggs due to hatch today. So far I have 6 babies. 2 eggs pipped and then sticky yellow stuff started to come out and now I can tell those chicks have died.

Any ideas what that was and why it happened?

Also temp and humidity appeared great through out incubation

Sorry I don't have an answer for you, but I felt compelled to post!
Could the yellow have been yolk? Maybe the yolks were weak and ruptured somehow when the chick pipped????
