Yellow/orange liquid coming out of pipped egg?? Please Help!

That pretty much says it all.... An egg pipped this morning but not on the top, on the bottom and immediately a yellowish liquid pours out of the hole. I thought at first it was just "after birth" from a chick that hatched a few minutes prior but now that the egg is starting it's zip, you can see bubbles of the liquid inside and even some is dripping out. The chick is very much alive, and I can see the beak moving, but it's not making any noise..... What should I do?? Is it going to drown to death or is there hope?

Bump..Hope you get an answer. My guesses is it's some of the yolk it's suppose to absorb while it goes thru the hatching phases, just a guess.

It still has a chance....as long as the humidity is high enough...if not...it will harden and can suffocate the chick...

Is the beak in the airsac or is it in liquid?

This usually happens when incubating temperatures were either too hot or too cold and the chick's development was delayed. They have a biological clock and will attempt to hatch whether they are ready to or not. When there is liquid as you described, they generally do not make it. What I do is enlarge the pip and GENTLY pull the head from the egg, then prop it up so that the chick does not aspirate the fluids and drown. Do not try to help him from the egg since the yolk likely has not been absorbed into the body yet and you will have a real mess on your hands if you do. I hope he makes it but it really does not sound good.

The chick didn't make it. I made the pip slightly bigger to help him breathe, and went out for errands, and when I came back, he was still. No peeping or anything so I pulled the egg out and listened, and nothing happened. He was a goner. I opened the egg to see what could have possible gone wrong, and honestly, I couldn't find ONE THING. The yolk was surprisingly all in tact and looked like it was just a few hours from being completely absorbed. There were no punctures or anything in the yolk whatsoever. I saw plenty of the liquid when I did open the shell, but couldn't find the source for it. The chick was fully developed, and looked like all my others that hatched, just not moving.
Poor thing.... wish I could have helped it

Oh man what a bummer, it's sad when they don't make it. I hate losing babies once they've piped, it's like they've come so far only to have something go wrong in the final stage. Happy to hear the others are well though.
