Yellow Slime on Egg

[can't get enough chicken]

When I went out to go collect the eggs there was yellow slime all over both eggs. The eggs were laid at least 4 hours ago. Is there anything to worry about? What is it?

It sounds like there was a broken egg in there and it got on the other eggs.

Most definatly a broken egg my hens do it alot the only time to worry is when a hen is sick!

I have a small coop with 4 chickens and I checked everywhere and there was no broken egg.

They would have eaten the egg once they saw what was inside.

Shell and everything? No evidence besides on the other eggs.

Yes, they eat the shell too. It has happened a few times here.

But there was no other mess it would have been a little messy probably right?
