The video above is good. You can make some sterile saline with 2 tsp of salt in a quart of water, or 1/2 tsp per cup. Bring it to a boil for a few minutes and cool it before using. Plain Neosporin or Triple Antibiotic Ointment can be applied to the clean ear canal.

Thanks! I don’t think I’ve got neosporin without pain relief, and I know that’s not good for chickens, so I’ll pick up some plain neosporin at the store hopefully today.

Alright, I’ve cleaned out her ears and put a little blob of neosporin in each of them. Should this take care of it, or should I plan on cleaning them out every day for a bit? I’m certain I got everything out of one ear, not so sure about the other.

She was very unhappy with the whole process, but couldn’t struggle much, and she’s back to her normal sassy self now
