This baby is the progeny of my Blue Orp rooster Suede with a blue Orp hen, Smoky. It hatched under a broody hen in California owned by my friend, Ellie. This has to be the yellowest splash baby I've ever seen, certainly from my own flock. They usually have some yellowish down, but never this much. Have you guys had the experience of having a splash Orp with this much yellow?

Wow, my splash were always a duller yellow. Id be curious to see how it turns out.

I just had blue/buff orpington breed with buff orpingtons, and Ive gotten some neat colors.

Mine have always been silvery blue/yellow, never seen that much yellow myself. I am saying Splashy for sure.

It actually looks like a buff orp except for the grey on it's back. It is a bit more yellow than in the picture. It is in a dog house and it is dark in there, so the color is a bit subdued.

Lacy, the mom just killed a fly and darned if she didn't give it to the chick and the chick ran for that thing and ate it. It is not as keen on the chick food, lol.
