Has anyone ever seen yellowing on a silver laced roo? I was at a show, and there were a few that thad had this. Is this normal? Too much corn in diet? Too much sun? The judge that was there said that points are no taken off for this....she could see the silver lacing underneath.

Thanks so much!

No its def. a silver laced, just with a little bit of yellow tint to the ends of the feathers

the gold leaking into the silver laced is usually caused by breeding something gold/red into a silver line. It makes a silver (because silver is dominant) with yellowing on the feathers, especially on their backs. I have a silver laced Wyandotte roo like that.

It could be the blood line they come from like the pervious poster said. or it could be the diet. Some times too much corn does cause a yellow tint to other wise white birds.
