One of our chickens hasn't layed an egg in about 2 weeks, and today I was noticing some intense yellow (almost florecent) stains on the pine shavings inside the coop.
I'm getting kind of worried about her. She is our rock star Sicilian Buttercup. Her comb is looking a bit pale and she is not moving as energetically as she usually does. She's eating and drinking, and does step out of the coop and mingle with the other chickens, but something feels different.

What to do?

Have you taken a good look at her all over? Does she have any discharge from her vent? What are her droppings like? Does her abdomen feel swollen, gassy, gushy, odd in any way? Is she losing any feathers? Hopefully she is just molting, and will get back to laying, and the egg parts are just a coincidence, but....she could be eggbound, broken egg inside, etc... So check her over and get back to us ASAP.
