Thanks for the pics Martha. What is the breed of the one that's small, totally black, with the fuzzy head? I have one, but it has a white head.

That would be my Chocolate Polish Hen. Yours would be a White Crested Black Polish.

welcome to BYC - everyone here has poultry addiction - so feel free to express yourself. We are all enablers. As for the reluctant husband - most spouses come over to the poultry side, once exposed to little chicks etc. Be patient with him it will happen.
