Fascinating. I still think twice a day is too much. I'll stick with my twice a week scoopings with the chickens and Casper. ;)
I'm a little bit on the nutty side when it comes to poop.
I think that's why Treb is so good because he always has a fresh clean place to use the bathroom.

Every once in a while I will only scoop once a day and I always regret it and feel bad for making him have to eat in a pissy box.

Further reason for me not to get rabbits for myself. I wouldn't want them to have to eat in a pissy box, either. Thankfully, neither cats nor chickens need their food to be placed in their litter trays, and neither cause that much of a mess in the 3-4 days between scoopings.

I may have to talk to my niece about it for her rabbits, though. Maybe she'll be more inclined to keep up with manure management if it's in a litter box and not just all over the place in their hutch. 🤔

I'll keep an outdoor rabbit hutch then. It can ruin it's own house. I saw @Isadora 's drywall issue.

Cats have litter boxes too 😉😂 I hate litter boxes lol after Luna goes I won’t get another cat I don’t think. I hate litter boxes and don’t want an outdoor cat. I’m more of a dog person anyway.
Oh, I know....it's one reason I've never had a cat. But I've really been considering one lately because we have a terrible rodent problem in the house. Is it possible to make a cat do its business outside in a catio?
