Yes or No to Garlic

Cooked garlic as well? I've heard people giving in water too as antiparasitic. I did a little of that with my very first day olds, they didn't seem to care for it much, but they all grew up healthy.
Yep, cooking doesn't reduce the toxic properties, it has little anthelmintic properties and the toxic dose is 0.5% of their body (about a half oz for chickens) weight for all Animals, but less dose is needed for cats and birds.

Hello and Happy New Year! We cooked a big meal today used a ton of garlic to cover the whole roast. Am I able to give our girls any leftovers? Thanks!
It's may be toxic if you gave them like a dozen bulbs worth to eat.

Sprinkling some in their water, food, on a roast has some benefits, it's said. I don't get into all the holistic stuff too much but respect those that do.

In fact, our BYC Project Manager wrote an article about the benefits of garlic and 49 other herbs:

Thank you! You are too kind. Will make sure to read the article. :)

Technically yes, but they'd have to eat a significant amount to start running into issues. In fact garlic in small amounts is actually beneficial (although it's not the wonder cure all many claim it to be either). Unless you used like 50 cloves of garlic the amount in the roast is of no concern. Let them at it
Check the facts. The amount that is toxic is not very much. The only thing the so called studies proved is that if you feed a small enough dose, it won't kill them.

I have not seen any studies that are statistically valid.

He did not provide any statistically valid studies. I believe he used AI to do the article and AI has been proven to give inaccurate answers.

BYC is concerned about liability, so I highly doubt our BYC Project Manager would just pull information off of AI and write an article. We're talking about the people that use small amounts of it, not feeding bulbs of it to their chickens.
