Yet another roo vs pullet

Nine weeks, she's the only one with a bit of red, so she's still getting the side eye 👀

14 weeks. Still no crowing.

I don't know how many roo vs pullet threads I looked at trying to figure it out and so many times, no update as to the final results! So just gonna keep updating till I know, for anyone confused in the future....

Just back to update my OG thread. The girls are just shy of 16 weeks. One of my white leghorns is starting to get some red to her ❤️
My chocolate orpington that I started this thread about looks about the same for comb development BUT she is starting to exhibit an interesting behavior. She has been trying to step on the other pullets. As in, they are all on the ground and she walks up and kinda tries to step up on them while they are standing. She is most definitely my smallest right now and the others are not excited to be stepped on. Not sure if she's trying to move up the pecking order or what, but I will continue to document 🤓

Edit to add- she is from hoover hatchery. According to their website they get the chocolate orpingtons by breeding chocolate roosters over black hens. All chocolate chicks should be female (thanks to BYC I have learned much about chicken genetics!!) she very much looks chocolate and not black to me.
