Yet another silkie gender guessing game (10 weeks)

Well, at 5 months I’m 99.5% sure that this is a cockerel :/
They still haven’t crowed yet, but that sort of makes sense because they live with a more dominant rooster. I wasn’t super certain until a couple weeks ago when it started nipping and biting, and then I noticed it tidbitting (towards no one in particular haha). He has taken it upon himself to take care of the 7 week old chicks my broody just weaned, which is pretty darn cute. If by some chance it ends up laying an egg, I’ll update, but I hope this thread helps someone else figure their silkie out! I’ll try to get an updated pic soon.

Did you ever figure it out? That last photo is freaking adorable!
Yes! He crowed for the first time a few days ago. He's started to turn into a little bit of a punk (probably because his hormones are kicking in) but he's VERY sweet to the serama chicks and doesn't even come out for free ranging time anymore cause he wants to stay in and take care of them :)

Definitely a silver lining, he sounds like a great papa! I can't wait to figure out what my silkies are, both of my whites have similar crests to yours when he was younger. I've been combing the site for photos lol! Basically I've realized I'm just going to have to be patient.
