yet another silkie guessing game - he? she? it?

This little silkie is 10 weeks old. Any guesses on gender? Sometimes I'm sure it's a pullet, other times a roo. I'm sure I'll find out one way or another by Halloween.

I very hesitantly say pullet based on the shape of the comb and body type. It needs to feather in a bit more before I would guess with much certainty.

I know it's early, I just feel bad referring to this little one as "It".

It acts like a pullet but stands like a roo at times. The comb shows no development so far, and no wattles are present.

Guess we'll have to wait and see!

I'm going to say boy, looks like a good size comb for 10 weeks, he also looks leggy to me, my boys usually have longer legs and bigger combs then the girls do at 10 weeks. Cutie!

It's too young.By fifteen weeks we should be able to tell.......

I'm 99% convinced it is indeed a boy. An incredibly docile, mellow and polite boy, unlike the the heathen bantam fav boys he's in with.

Dang. Five chicks, five roos. Prior hatch was 7 out of 8 roos!

Any tips on hatching pullets?
