Yet another silkie question

My pet quality (hatchery silkies) started crowing very young. But I still have 2 roosters, now 7 months, both haven't crowed yet. They are both from the same line.

Ive never heard of determining a silkie's gender by its color before. Who did you say you got these from again? I may be wrong but it sounds like a bunch of bull to me.

George Mahalik. Pretty famous for his silkies, from what I've heard and read. He swore the males wouldn't crow.

They sound a lot different from my big Roos..but they sure can crow for little guys!!!

My Silkie Roos keep all the other Roos in line.

No pics yet, but I will post asap (can't find the stupid camera...did we leave it on vacation???!!!!).

And I am serious-if this turns out to be a crowing fella, he is up for grabs, free of charge to a good home.

It took my silkie roo a while, but he definately crows!! A LOT! All day too, starting around daybreak and anytime we are outside by the chicken yard. I hope (for your sake) he isn't a roo. Best of luck.

Yep, my Silkie roo crows! He's a beautiful splash that we got from a good breeder and he didn't start until he was about 4 months old. However, once he had his first crow, he has crowed every day. He crows in the morning for a little while when he first goes out, and I usually hear him in the afternoon when I go back out to check on them. He doesn't crow that much, though, and it's not very loud. We certainly can't hear it in the house.
