Her wound today. I actually have to hold back the new feathers to get a picture! That little spot by my thumb nail is a little scab. She's gotten a few of those and they flake off. It's almost extra skin that folded up as her wound closes some more. I did see today that she went into a mini molt. She has new feathers coming in on her head and neck. They are tiny little feathers.
This picture is for a good laugh! To make it easier to line up the holes for her legs I layed her on her back then made the cuts. You can see they are pretty big slits for her legs. Lots of fluffy feathers I wanted to make room for.
Stockinette is great to have around. I don't know why it's gotten harder find around here. I first used it when I got a horrible case of poison ivy up both arms. I would slather my arms in medicine then pull on stockinette sleeves. It's good to for wounds on bends like elbows and knees too.
