Yikes! What is this?

Our chicken lost her feathers on her butt a couple weeks ago and now today her vent looks like this. Anybody know what is going on? Is this vent gleet? Thank you!

She was a bit lethargic today. I’m wondering if the white around her vent could be an indication of vent gleet.

Also due to having lost all her butt feathers overnight a couple weeks ago.

Maybe you have a feather picker in your flock? Maybe an intermediate molt? I see redness and irritation maybe. Those black dots are feather follicles, it looks like new feathers are going to push through.

Yeah it could be that someone is picking feathers. She lost all her butt feathers overnight a couple weeks ago and today she was a bit lethargic. We looked closely at her vent for the first time today, and then wondered if she has vent gleet because it’s white around the vent.
