Yippee outside coop done pics

We only spent 65 dollars. My DH converted a shipping crate from his work (free) and most of the other stuff we had lying around also friend donatedthe chicken wire for the run. Might not be fancy but the chickens seem to like it. OOPS in the picture the runner boards on the bottom of run are not in these pictures but we have them and there barried 6 inches to help pest control.

I have this pic on another question about coops also. Any guess on the age of that wyandotte I got her at a chicken swap the seller said she is 4 months???? No eggs though.

Eggs come at about 6-7 months.

Love the look and reusing old wood! My NHR's have started laying at 17 weeks and another at 18 weeks, but the Buff Orpingtons and EE's are just starting to get red in the comb/wattles, so I don't expect them to start laying until closer to 20 weeks.

VERY FUNCTIONAL !

(and a little "left-over" paint will do "wonders" for dressing it up and protecting your $65.00 investment and LABOR !) When I have mixed "left-over paint", it has always ended up GRAY.

These days, anything THAT FUNCTIONAL for "merely" $65.00 is a tremendous accomplishment!

It seems like you are backed up to a woody area... you might want to swap the chicken wire for some hardware cloth.... (I'm super paranoid about raccoons, since joining BYC!)
