When you get a whole lot of birds, you run out of names and have to think of silly names - or even stupid names - to cover all of them. She isn't very creative when it comes to names. She uses "Quackers" and "Flappers", "Nibbler" and "Aflac". Like BILLIONS of ducks haven't already been named that.
My alpha roo "Skeeter" got his name because I make a sound like "SSkkksss" to get the chickens to move away. I used to do that right before I'd flip something over in the yard for them to find bugs underneath. I didn't want them getting hit by the object as it fell back down. But Skeeter realized it meant I was about to uncover bugs, and he would NOT MOVE away from the object. Most times, he would be standing ON it! So I just lengthened it and he got the name Skeeter.
So yeah, I'm sure poultry owners seem to have no originality. But as long as WE know who they are, it's all good!
