YO GEORGIANS! :)

Well, I was just curious. Always see the common $15/16 charge on ebay and such, and just wondered how Scrooged you're getting when you don't live cross country from them.

Most people use those flat rate priority boxes, which can easily run $17. I can ship exactly 1 dozen eggs in a priority "shoe box" to most places in Georgia for $6. I used either paper products, or bubble wrap from packages I have received, to pack them. Still goes the same speed, it's just not "flat rate".

Flat rate is really only a bargain if you're shipping small heavy items, or if you do ship "normal weight" items across the country.

Interesting. Thanks! I figured you might have an answer. ;)

Guys! I forgot perhaps the most important part of my 2,000th post!

My BO- also my only non-POL girl- laid her first egg today!! YAAYY!!

Hey peeps :)
Welcome new chicks :welcome
Congrats on the new egg, Carcar ; I'm glad you got your baby birds, ChristyinGA, and sorry we just missed each other!

I'm sorry to say that I lost two of my squished chicks overnight, but the lone survivor is doing better in the baby pen each day. I'm watching the brooders like a hawk now.

My bunnies are having an awesome spring season, and so is my husband  . He's gotten over that "losing focus" comment and accepted his fate as the husband of a "bunny girl". I brought home one of abmaddox's hamster bunnies, and she had him wrapped around her tiny paw fast! I even felt the need to remind him she is mine :yesss:
She does look cute as a shoulder bunny though:
