Okay, so..... The pen was open again and all the goslings and their momma duck were in the pool again. I now have to take them out to the cabin, which was supposed to originally be their home.

They are so beautiful!
What is PDZ? (and I love your set up!)Georgious coop! I love that huge covered run, will be great to keep chickens cool and dry all summer.
One idea for the future (when the chicks are old enough to use those roost bars) is a poop shelf with Sweet PDZ. I found that idea on here. Basically you built a shelf under the roosts and that ends up catching about half the droppings in the coop, put a layer of PDZ on the shelf and then just scoop the poop every few days (like a litter box, and built waste high to make it easier to scoop without bending over).
Much easier than replacing all the savings so often. In my case my coop is very small (4 x 8) so I wanted to use the floor space under the roosts for their feed dishes and such, works out well. It would be the perfect out of the way place for your hanging feeders/waterers too.
PDZ is completely safe and is primarily used to keep horse stalls smelling fresh and absorb ammonia, that makes it perfect for chicken droppings too. The PDZ never needs to be replaced, just scooped and occasionally more is added.
