YO GEORGIANS! :)

So with it warming up the chickens were drinking alot of water. I was filling it up every 2 days. Well I forgot and they went 3 days between fill ups and were totally out of water. Well needless to say I remedied the problem. Automatic gravity waterer with a toilet tank repair-kit. No more thirsty birds!

The North Georgia mountains don't have much in the way of health food stores, haha. I guess I'll have to order some offline, too.
Definitely not

Nap Time!!!!!

Chickens are growing. They ate all of my tomato plants yesterday. So they are not getting to free range today.

I hate when that happens. I have a chicken that hops the fence and gets in to the garden... BAD CHICKEN

It is a nipple waterer. It goes to a hose fitting that splits and goes to two pvc nipple feeders. One of which is inside the coop and one that is in the run.

Nice waterer! I'd Love to put all of our critters on a fully automatic system, but they are too spread out. We have semi- auto waterers.

Haha. I see you still have some grass! That will be gone soon, along with everything else green. Ended up having to put 300 ft of fencing up to keep them corralled. Grass is finally growing back along with my hostas and day lilies and bushes! I do throw them grass cuttings and cabbage, etc to keep them happy. .

You're lucky your chickens use it... I bought one but they don't like it
So sorry you're dealing with that, but I have no experience with anything other than impacted crop and a few mites once.
Thank you, I just hate to see her suffer:(

I fashioned one in the brooder out of an old water bottle . I had to hold their heads to the nipples individually for them to figure it out. After they did I have had no issues. The only downside is they are now attracted to anything red because they think its a waterer. Having the water unfowlable and automatic means I literally can leave them for 5-7 days unattended. If I were to put another 30lb feeder in the run it could be twice as longer.
