Well i have been keeping both traps set around my coop and so far i am up to 3 squirrels and a stray cat. Good news is that's all i have caught. Bad news is i am feeding scratch to the local squirrel population.

For our Broody we put her in a small coop on her own, it worked well, specially after she had the chicks hatch, they had safe space of their own! Could you pen that nesting box in some place on it's own?

How's that? I got it at the Thomson Salvation Army store for $15. Pretty good huh?

I can't believe it's already here again but we've already begun the prep work for chick days. It's almost that time again.

do you know what kind of Turkey's will b available this year yet?

Just saw this video from Greenfire Farms, in which eggs are hatched with what looks like just a heat lamp. Is that even possible?? Or do you think it's just "video magic".

Assuming we use the same hatchery it should be the same as this year.

We won't know for sure for a few more weeks when we get all of our brochures in.
