This is how they sorted it out. Babies win! LOL
Such cute babies!

Baby update:
Babies doing much better. 3 of the four seem really strong. One is still weak. I am still really sad I lost the NN! It was the one I wanted so badly! But, here are the four out of intensive care! The earlier two are with their mom. So ended up with 6 babies.

Easter Egger

Swedish Flower?

May be from my frizzled EE...time will tell

I let the weak one sleep.
They're so fluffy!

DH and I drove for an hour to Cartersville to pick up some Golden Cuckoo Marans hatching eggs for a friend of mine. She couldn't pick them up herself because her mom is in the hospital. Then we went home, picked up some of my eggs (about 30) and took all the eggs to my friend, 45 minutes in the opposite direction. She will set them tomorrow and hopefully, I will have more chicks from her incubator! I couldn't tell if there was a NN egg in there or not. Her eggs are hard to tell from one of the EEs I have. We will see!

Hey you were close to me today :)

Question:

I have just a sinking feeling about my shipped Marans eggs. I can finally see air cells now and they look like.. Well, shipped eggs. :(

Would it do any good at all to unplug the turner for the night and plug it back in the morning? Or should I just let them ride?

It is advisable to not turn shipped eggs for the first few days. It helps settle the air sacks. Some people go ahead and put them in the heated bator but not turn them (especially if the eggs are getting too old to let sit around for another day or two). They would let them incubate, but not turn for a day or two.
