Oh! I looked them up and they are pretty! Are you hatching these now?
They're just starting back up laying so I have a few lone eggs in the bator at different stages, mixed with other hatches. Fertility has been nil so far, hence the de-fluffing today. *I* couldn't even locate any vents with the advantage of thumbs!! So I'm betting that was the issue. LOL

That just sounds funny. Are you bringing fertile eggs to the swap? I was thinking about bringing EE and Silkie ones if I have any but when would I need to start collecting them and how do I keep them?

I don't believe I'm coming to the swap.. It's a bit far. If you want to take eggs I personally would start collecting around 2/5 or so and just keep them in a carton in a cool place. I keep mine in my closet.. And I keep one end high. I turn them 2x/day- morning and night. :)

I candles the first batch of turkey eggs and it looks like 4 out of 6 are growing the other 2 have dark shells so it is very hard to see anything at this point. I also have 4 ducks and 5 laced cochins that are looking good. All should hatch the week of the Feb swap.
