Do they need to be in a cool place in the house too? We keep our indoor temp around 68. I could put them in a cooler bag with something cold while we travel. We will also have chicks and a rooster or two in the car. We will need to leave at 7am for the trip to the swap in order to be there by 9am. I will have a very packed smelly and noisy CR-V for that early in the morning.I would put them in a egg carton in a cool place in the car. give them some tipping to make sure the yolks aren't sticking anywhere and enjoy your ride, then I would put them at 45 degrees every so many hours, I did mine 3 times a day
I wouldn't let them get above 68, my DR is cool and it is about that temp. I put the eggs in an egg carton and wrote am on one end and pm on the other, then I tipped end up and alternated about 3 times aday until I had all my eggs collected. I would not put anything cold in with them but put your cooler bag in the fridge then on trip day put egg carton in bag in a cool spot in car and don't worry about them. When you get to your swap tip the eggs regularly so the yolks won't stick and I bet you will have a great hatch!! keep us posted tho.Do they need to be in a cool place in the house too?
