YO GEORGIANS! :)

Ok, I think I got caught up with all y'all's shenanigans.

I stayed with our daughter yesterday, last night and today at the hospital to allow our Son in law to get some much needed sleep. Our daughter is doing good and so is the baby. She did have a few contractions today but they think she needed more hydration so they put her back on the IV. The critical care dr said delivery will probably be in 7 to 10 days due to past experiences with other's similar situations.

@katsdar I'm sorry to hear about Hellen. Why can't people keep their dogs in their yards?

I hope all of those that go to the Newnan show stay safe, have fun and get more chickens!

Yes, Valleychick, great news!

More good news. Last night my friend finally text me back that they went home and got the new chicks and took them with them to their daughters and all it well with the baby chicks! I wish she had told me earlier so I wouldn't have to worry.

DH said he finally got the power back on there. Here in FL today will be 53, tomorrow 72, and Sunday will be 78! I really don't like FL. Too flat and hot!

Valley- great news! Still praying for all.

My DH ordered some of the heated chicken waterers online and they should be here on Monday. He ordered 3 but one was back ordered so they canceled that one. Looks like a lot of people have purchased the waterers lately. We checked 4 TSCs and they were all sold out. He was able to find a heated water pan thingy to set the regular waterers on for one of the coop/runs and it was working this morning when I checked it as I took fresh water out to the other two coop/runs. The temp was 12°F this morning in Wilkes. How are y'all dealing with the freeze?

Valley-so glad everything is going well.

Does anyone have a donkey I can borrow? I need to haul huge branches into the backyard. No reason to have them removed when they give the girls a playground and safe hiding place and besides, all the quotes I've received to get them hauled off are so expensive. Surely someone around here is doing branch removal/haul-off for a reasonable price.

On the upside-my new RIR and black star have started laying pullet eggs. They have funny timing with these temps :)
