YO GEORGIANS! :)

Hi all, I have been lurking in the background, drooling at pictures and learning. Don't have any chicks yet, still working on the coop, almost there!

Wonder if anyone has done business with Sweet Basil Farms? If so, would you please let me know how it went? ok to pm me with info as well.

Want to make sure I am going through the right route here. Thank you in advance!

My turken is now part of their breeding stock. If Tisha can hatch some brahma's or salmon faverolles soon i may get one of those from her.

Well, whatever tripped the door on the trap last night, then turned around and escaped it. So I assume a rat?? There is also a piece of tender baby green/clover in there, which was either stuck to it or it was eating when it got into the trap.. Hmmmmm..

I dont thank so I have left several eggs in the box just to see but she has never showed any other signs
If they are mixed in I'd never know. I've called a few and gone in only to be told they don't and probably won't have any unless they are special ordered. I have a contact for the one when her hens get back in to laying but obviously different sources are good to vary the blood line.

Jd...could it be other chickens? That rooster we brought to the swap had all of his breast feathers picked out by the hen he was penned up with. The big dummy would just stand there and let her do it.

Thus the term "Hen Pecked" . It applies to a man who lets a woman tin all over him and he lets her.
