YO GEORGIANS! :)

Unfortunately i've spent the last year and a half in a store with an excellent store manager who runs the business 100% by himself. I have learned absolutely nothing about the business in the time i have been there and the only way to fix that is to either be tossed in the deep end with a strong team around me or to go to a new store and start the learning process there.

Dawsonville/Dahlonega/Blairesville are the 3 towns on our radar now. Unfortunately only Dawsonville has a store as of now.

I advertised my baby ducks for $5 each. One lady called and said, "I see you are asking $5 for each duck. For that price, do they come with starter kits like food and habitat?" Really!?!?

Then another lady called to see if I had any left. I told her I had 3 left. She said she only wanted one for Easter for her little girl. Ummm, NO! After the first week, if it survived, then what!?

And, I heard a sad story yesterday. At my feedstore, my friend was telling me one guy came in and bought 30 baby ducks........he was training his dog to retrieve. So sad for the baby ducks. I have never thought about it before, how they train those dogs.

Then, I get a text and the person writes, "Can you deliver tomorrow for science fair"

I wrote, "Not sure what you are talking about. "

Then they wrote, "Chicks to my school for science fair"

Must be some kid and who knows where they live!

People are weird!

They actually make duck shaped dummies and stuffed ducks and duck scent that you can use for that training, Flower. I don't know if thar guy didn't know where to get that stuff or if he just didn't care. :( Those poor babies. I support hunting and conservation, but that just seems cruel.

You need to go to the Dallas store.

Totally agree, the people who work at that store are ummmm,(try to be tactful try to be tactful) shall I say LESS than customer oriented? At least the few times I've been in there. When we lived in Rockmart, it was a mile difference for me to go to Rome or Dallas, 2 trips to Dallas convinced me to take my business to Rome and I haven't been back in there since that I know of
