My business name is Beak Brokers! I have already started a facebook page and I am picking up my first set of silver laced polish breeding pair tomorrow! I am so excited!

thanks rossfam for clarifying that I don't have to to the NAIS premise ID. Not at all trying to turn this political, but I don't want any more 'registration with the govmint' I don't have to have, nosy busy bodies the lot of em!

I was told I had to have the premise id when I did mine. I just got the card in the mail this week for it.my understanding it is for tracking any disease outbreaks

Rossfam06, you called the DOA and talked with someone and they told you that? I need to call. I really don't want to have to get the 'premise id' just to sell eggs. Hard for me to believe every person who puts an ad on craigslist has it
 
Isn't that why we get the poultry dealer license? If you read the rules on it states that you have to keep a record of who you buy from and who you sell to. Its up to you to keep records. That's what I thought it was.
 
The gals from Ag that were at the first swap at cliff's TSC .. the only paperwork they had for the dealer/broker license was the app and the affidavit. There was nothing else required. I have my valid license from applying through them.

The eggs ... that is for selling eggs as food. You have to take the class and do the affidavit and that is all.

I have both licenses and have no other certs, etc.

I registered today for the egg class on the 29th this month, so I'll get that done. I think I'm going to go ahead and apply for the license without the NAIS id. I would like to be able to sell chicks as well.

What kind of records do y'all keep when you buy and sell, just a spiral notebook with the who what when where and how many? LOL
